SPAIN, second half of the 16th century Pentecost Part of embroidered orphrey, polychrome silk embroidery and metallic thread in couch stitch and polychrome silk in majolica stitch, split stitch and bare gold. In the centre of an architectural niche are represented the Virgin Mary and the eleven apostles receiving the outpouring of the Holy Spirit . Medallion edged with braid and applied on a velvet background. Reassembled, some wear and tear, framed. 26.5 x 21 cm
