Annotated at the top LA Dvchesse de VaLLentinois. 81,5 x 64,5 cm Carved wood frame, French work of the Louis XIV period. His Serene Highness the Sovereign Prince of Monaco bears the titles of Duke of Valentinois, Marquis of Baux, Count of Carladès, Baron of Calvinet and Buis, Lord of Saint-Rémy, Sire of Matignon, Count of Torigni, Baron of Saint-Lô, of the Luthum, of the Lordship of the Loire Valley, of the Lordship of the Loire Valley, of the Lordship of the Loire Valley and of the Lordship of the Loire Valley. Lô, de la Luthumière and de Hambye, Duke of Mazarin, Duke of Mayenne, Prince of Château-Porcien, Baron of Massy, Count of Ferrette, Belfort, Thann and Rosemont, Baron of Altkirch, Lord of Issenheim, Marquis of Chilly, Count of Longjumeau and Marquis of Guiscard. Several versions or old copies of this portrait (with differences in the funds) are known; for example the one now preserved in the museum of Saint Lô in Normandy, or another version which was on the art market in 2018.
