FABERGÉ Rare table lighter for cigar in the shape of a monkey in silver 88 zolotniks (916 ) finely chiseled au naturel, representing him almost sitting, one hand on the ground, looking backwards, the tail the tail serving as a receptacle for a wick of tinder (missing), the hinged head serving as a gas tank gas tank, closed by a cap. The interior in vermeil monogrammed WY. Good condition. Saint Petersburg, 1899-1904. Goldsmith : Isaac (Julius) RAPPOPORT (active 1883- 1908) for Carl Fabergé. Engraved inventory number of the House of Fabergé: 15755. H. 11 x W. 9,5 cm Weight 389,60 g Provenance French private collection.
