Gold enamelled ring, Swedish work circa 1620 It is decorated with an intaglio opening and revealing the profile of Gustavus Adolphus of Sweden and his figure. Gross weight 6,6 g Provenance: probably found on the battlefield of Fürth (?) according to attached papers. Gustav II Adolphus, known as "the Great" or "the Lion of the North", king of Sweden, born on December 9, 1594 in Stockholm, killed at the the battle of Lützen on November 6, 1632.
