Low armchair stamped J.B BOULARD of Louis XVI period, delivered for the room of Thierry de Ville d'Avray in Fontainebleau
In molded and carved wood, with a flat square back, it rests on fluted and filleted tapered legs.
N° 4621/4 on the straps.
Inscriptions on the back belt, stenciled number from the 1787 inventory of the Crown's furniture repository : F crowned n°779 (erased).

Jean Baptiste Boulard received master in 1754.
Delivered by the upholsterer Claude François Capin in May 1784.
A pair of this series with the same inscriptions is preserved at the Hôtel de la Marine.
