Three parts in one volume in-folio, [12] f., 234-306-91 p., [2] f., fr., pl., contemporary spotted tan calf, spine with 6 nerves, brown title-piece, ornamented caissons, red edges (small snag on the head-cap, corners rubbed). First edition of this treatise on indulgences composed by the German theologian E. Amort (1692-1775). The second part of the work deals with heresies, the third is a supplement. The edition is illustrated with a frontispiece, and a portrait of the dedicatee Pope Clement XII, engraved on copper after Johann Christoph Kolb. Modern stamp of a religious establishment on a guard and on the v° of the title.
