(including the engraved title), 484 p. ; [2] f., 420 p., [20] f., pl., contemporary tan basane, spine with 6 nerves, ornamented boards, gilt title, boards framed with a lace with a central medallion with the royal coat of arms, and the mention " Collegium Flexiense ", all gilt, marbled edges (qq. flaws among which 2 worn corners, small worms' work on the spine, the coat of arms rubbed, one guard mq, one annotated; corners of first 2 f. repaired, sporadic wormholes in margins, browning due to paper, 2 plates flying, some plates missing). Chronicle of the world from the Creation to the birth of Christ, conceived and written by the Italian Barnabite scholar Tornielli (1543-1622), as a follow-up to the Annals of Baronius, The illustration consists of an engraved illustrated title, and 10 engraved plates (out of 19 ?), 6 of which are double, including 2 maps of the Holy Land.
