The whole enriched with cartels, lamp-ends, landscapes, figures and vignettes... The most beautiful buildings and palaces that there was in Europe, as well as the most beautiful canopies and portals of the churches of France according to the best architects... Paris, Petit, 1767]. In-folio, 19th century green half-basin, smooth spine, title, scrolls, large gilt irons and fleuron (corners and headpieces dulled, spines and edges rubbed; some soiling, some plates repaired or lined with paper, 7 plates missing). Beautiful fully engraved work, the first part of which concerns the architecture itself, the second part being devoted to presenting the works of arrangement and decoration such as woodwork and ironwork. This copy contains 97 plates (out of 104), missing pl. 1 to 6 (including the general title) and pl. 102.
