In-4, brown morocco, spine with 4 double and protruding nerves, gilt author and title, spine decorated with a mosaic pattern with thistles, holly leaves and snake, extended to the edges of the boards, gilt fillet at the edges, sandy calf lining bordered with multiple gilt fillets, moiré satin guard, gilt edges on witnesses, cover and spine preserved, matching case (worm work on 1 cm. at the foot of an inner hinge; browning and transfers).
Edition illustrated with 33 compositions by Georges Rochegrosse, including 6 hors texte, engraved in colors by E. Decisy. Printed at 350 copies, this one on Arches vellum, unjustified, including the etchings in two states, one with remarks. The justification indicates only 60 copies (2nd paper) with this suite.
Original binding finely executed, signed with a monogram on the back cover including the letters A, C, F, M.
