[BAVIÈRE]. BLANC (Thomas). History of Bavaria. Which deals with the origin of the peoples, who first inhabited the Bavaria [] & the princes, who reigned until Charlemagne. A Paris, Chez la Veuve Mille de Beaujeu et au Palais chez Charles Osmont, 1680. 4 volumes in-12, red morocco, double framed with gilt fillets à la Duseuil adorning the boards, spine with ornate nerves, gilt edges (binding of the period). Four frontispieces with the arms of the Dauphin, the Dauphine-Bavaria and two other members of the house of engraved by Pierre Paul SEVIN : " Theodon Prince of Bavaria baptized by St Rupert ", " Othon of Wittelspach invested with the Bavaria", "Coronation of Louis of Bavaria Emperor" and "The Battle of Prague, won by the Prague, won by Duke Maximilian". Spines slightly tarnished; head cover of volume II damaged, but a VERY GOOD copy in a DUSEUIL GILDED LEATHER BINDING. From the library of O. B. library with ex-libris. Does not seem to be listed in the catalog of the B. N. F.
