BOSSE (Abraham). Treaty of the geometrical and perspective practices, taught in the Royal Academy of
Royal Academy of Painting and Sculpture. In Paris, At the Author, 1665. In-8°, red morocco, double
with gilt fillets à la Duseuil on the boards, spine with nerfs decorated, gilt edges
(binding of the period).
FIRST EDITION.
A heraldic frontispiece at the head of the dedication to M. de Croismare and 35 plates engraved on both sides in tailledouce
(numbered from 1 to 67), of which one (unnumbered) with a second ornate title on the front, one with a movable part (n° 50) and one with a
one (unnumbered) with a second ornate title on the front, one with a movable part (no. 50) and one double (no. 67 and last), with no. 6 and 7 bearing the same number twice.
Headcap damaged; jaws partially cracked; corners dulled; wetness and a few small stains,
but an EXAMPLE in RED ORIGINAL LEATHER. Brunet, I, 1127.
