Pair of flintlock pistols for officers, early 18th century. The barrels, locks and hammers are covered with silver leaf. Round barrels, with beads at the mouths, with flats at the thunders, signed Chasteau in Paris and decorated with foliage. Lock plates signed Chasteau in Paris and swan neck hammers, with flat bodies. Silver trimmings, cut, chased. Pommel nails in the shape of grotesque masks. Plain thumb pieces under crown. Crosses in walnut, partly carved and decorated with inlays of metallic threads. Fanon sticks with silver tips. EM. Accidents, missing parts. Chasteau in Paris : family of harquebusiers from 1623 to 1784.
