Anne-Louis GIRODET-TRIOSON. 2 L.A.S. (signed at the top, in the 3rd person), [1823- 1824], to Madame de REISET; 1 page in-small in-8 and 1 page in-8, addresses. This Tuesday morning [April-May 1823?] "Mr Girodet Trioson has the honor to present his respectful homage to Madame Reizet. He sends to know if she had a good trip as he wishes". He warns her that he is not at home in the morning but that he will come to her house one of these evenings to "talk about what interests her". This Wednesday [January 1824]. "Mr. Girodet Trioson, who spent the whole summer and part of the winter in the country, has only recently returned here. He did not visit her, because he had been falsely assured that she was in Rouen, but he is happy to know that the whole family is well... "As for him, he had terrible affairs in the country because of breaches of trust", had to change his servant four times, and his housekeeper being sick everything "is in disorder and goes wrong in his house". He will go to visit her as soon as he is out of worry and out of trouble... The first quarter of an hour that he can be absent from his home, he proposes to go and pay him the homage of his respect"...
