Jacket of an evening set Egyptomania, haute couture, 1923, open jacket with sleeves kimonos in metallic satin gold amply embroidered in multicolored glass beads of characters and hieroglyphs of ancient Egypt among stylized lotus flowers. The repercussion of the discovery of the tomb of Tutankhamen in November 1922 finds an immediate echo in the haute couture collections Spring / Summer 1923. An embroidered dress with similar decoration is preserved at the Kyoto Costume Institute, (Inv. AC 9251 95 34).
