MOREL et DUPONCHEL, "Les bulles de savon", Louis-Philippe period. A curved and cut crystal salts flask, with a partially gilded silver openwork frame. On the body, a round of putti alternating with rocaille; the hinged stopper is partly covered with translucent blue enamel and topped by a putti blowing soap bubbles (the cane and the pearl representing the bubble are missing). The bottle is preserved in its original shaped case signed Duponchel et Cie rue Neuve Saint Augustin in Paris (See Henri Vever, The design was given by Jean Valentin Morel in 1844 when he was associated with Duponchel, see : La bijouterie française au XIXe siècle, vol. 1 p. 279. Goldsmith's hallmark difficult to read.
