SÈVRES, first half of the 19th century. Rectangular cookie plate decorated in bas-relief with three nymphs raising the statue of Love on an altar. 26 cm x 23 cm Gilded wood frame. The model is reproduced in Emile Bourgeois, Le Biscuit de Sèvres au XVIIIe Siècle, Paris, 1909, pl. 52, no. 469. An 18th-century example was in the former Christner collection, Christie's, New York, June 9, 1979, lot 192, then Christie's, New York, June 1, 2018, lot 1194.
