SOUTHERN NETHERLANDS, 1st third of the 16th c. Glass rondel in grisaille and silver yellow depicting the Baptism of Christ. Background with fortified architecture. Two angels hold Christ's tunic on the banks of the Jordan River. One accident. Reassembled. D. 21.7 cm This stained glass window is based on the composition of an engraved print by Maso Finiguerra (Florence 1426-1464), of which the Louvre's des Arts graphiques du Louvre (inv n° 137 Ni/ Recto ).
