À Paris, de l'Impr. de Didot l'aîné, 1786. 2 vol. in-12, [2] f., 251 p. + [2] f., 297 p., [1] f., 1 pl., contemporary green morocco, smooth spine decorated with small irons, garnet morocco title-piece, matching piece bearing the publisher's name and date at the tail of the spines, triple gilt fillet bordering the boards, gilt fillet at the edges, interior roulette, gilt edges (small tear without loss at the corner of the plate, negligible wetness in the margins of the very last f., small light stains marg. p.187-89). Fine edition printed on wove paper, illustrated with a fold-out genealogical table. Edited by Jean-Benjamin de La Borde, the second volume contains a Notice sur Henri le Grand, the Manifeste de Henri IV, and a verse piece, "L'amour philosophe". A wide-margined, well-bound copy.
