(title, table), 243 p., contemporary red morocco-style basane, smooth spine, smooth oren spine, brown morocco title-piece, triple filleted edges with gilt fleur-de-lys at corners, gilt roulettes at edges and chasses, gilt edges (minor defects including small snags at edges of headpieces, 2 dull corners). Curious, cheerful work whose purpose is a virulent critique of biblical texts. One of the very first editions, uncommon, with the same address and date as the one designated as such by Gay & Lemonnyer (I, col.263-64), who only know the spelling "Arétin" and nowhere report a title identical to ours.
