(table, errata), glazed fawn calf spotted in period tortoiseshell style, ornate smooth spine, olive-stamped title, triple gilt fillet edging the covers, gilt fillet at the edges, marbled edges (one cap and corners restored without finesse, scratches to covers). First and only early edition of this work by J. Dumas, a native of Montauban (1725-1799), French pastor of the Reformed Church of Leipzig, who was a preacher in La Rochelle and Amsterdam. Illustrated with a copper-engraved vignette on the title.
