Two volumes in one, in-8, period brown basane, smooth ornate spine, red basane title-piece, gilt fillet and roulette around the edges, gilt roulette around the edges, speckled edges (head-cap and corners dull, small marks in the margins of 4 ff.). Posthumous first edition, preceded by a Life of the author by F. E. Toulongeon. Illustrated with 2 frontispieces engraved by Texier and Bovinet after Crépin.
