Marie-Gabrielle DUC (born in 1955) - Lot 21
Marie-Gabrielle DUC (born in 1955) Précaution 3 Acrylic on canvas 58 x 78 cm Marie-Gabrielle Duc lives and works in Paris. She pursues a multifaceted artistic practice that includes writing, painting, and sculpture. Following the publication of her novel *La Remorque Rouge* by Albin Michel, she collaborated with visual artist Jeanne Susplugas, who paired some of her texts with artworks and performances. Le Générateur de Gentilly also invited her to read her *Monologue d’un paysage*, which marked a shift in her approach to performance. Her writing process gradually moves beyond the novelistic form to convey her thoughts more directly through color. The “Précaution” series of paintings is inspired by an island in Spitsbergen where all the seeds of food crops necessary for humanity are stored in a vault. For her part, she seeks to store as many memories as possible of this plant life and its tenacious beauty. Value: 750 € DONATED BY THE ARTIST
