Sculptures & Bronzes

Sculpture is an underestimated matter, which is only asking to be better known ! They are less documented, bruised and wonderful models are rare because of the destructions. Specialists from the whole world are solicited, to advance Research and to provide you the most accurate informations.
Once the origin of the sculpture has been determined, the bidding can start and take off !

For example, it was a total surprise to discover a small alabaster figurine representing Saint Cecilia, from Gil de Siloé (Flaman sculptor known to be a recognized sculptor of the Castellan royalty). Indeed, it was above all a surprise when the hammer price was… 2.300.000€ !

Funny example from that of the Bacchante from Pablo Gargallo : (unexperimented) rubbers has stolen everything from an flat except this beautiful lady sculpture… huge mistake when you realize that Daguerre sold it to the Mondial record of 683.000€.
