Flat desk stamped Jacob, Restoration period Mahogany and mahogany veneer. Bearing the brands B267 and crowned LP, coming from the castle of Bizy and delivered for Louis Philippe. It opens with two drawers on the front and rests on tapered and fluted legs. H. 74 W. 129 D. 80 cm Jacob, stamp used between 1813 and 1825. Provenance: Bizy castle. In 1817, the Duchess of Orléans bought back her property confiscated during the revolutionary troubles, including Bizy. In 1821, upon his death, his son, the Duke of Orleans, inherited it and resided there on many occasions. Our office must have been ordered at that time.
