Spanish shotgun, flintlock. Round barrel, with thundering sides, entirely hammered, stamped on a brass base, marked Vaxarias. Breech tail engraved with interlacing. Interior lock, flat body chiselled with a stag hound, round barrel, drum set and grotesque head hound crest. Cut out, chased, gilded brass fittings, foliage, woman's head and grotesque. Counterplate decorated with a boar hunt. Bridge decorated with a man with a large moustache. Cut-out thumb piece, surmounted by Diana with hunting horn. Antique under canopy and hunting scene.
Stecher trigger. Cheek stock, long was, carved with foliage, with drawer with grotesque head decoration.
Around 1750 (crack and small lack at the neck of the stock). BE.
