Large travel coupé called "de Chateaubriand". Manufacturer: Luigi Rossi in Turin, coachbuilder of the Prince of Savoy-Carignan. Front wheels D. 140 cm Rear wheels D. 93 cm Suspension four C springs, linked train (one arrow). With two square day-night lanterns, two folding seats, servants' seats at the rear, imperial trunks. Original blue cloth interior (accidents). Old green paint in good condition. L.407 W.181 H.268 cm Falsely attributed to Chateaubriand at the sale of July 18, 1993 in Saumur, this travel coupe belonged to the Count de Sales, ambassador of the Sardinian States in Paris from 1829 to 1836. The de Sales family coat of arms in silver plated metal (applied to the door panels). Provenance: former Dina Vierny collection.
