Three-wheeled carriage called "trirote", circa 1800. Built in Pavia (Italy) by Antonio Bottigella. Rich neoclassical painted decoration on the body with frieze of antiquisite cameos. Exceptional and very unusual suspension on coil springs. Large fittings in the shape of A and B (initials of the maker Antonio Bottigella). With its stretchers (accidents). Inscription : invenit papliae. Buticella. Front wheel 74 cm Rear wheels 144 cm L.160 L.230 H.171 cm Provenance: Cesare Sala, famous coachbuilder from Milan; Italian convent; acquired by André Becker around 1980. The only car of this type known out of about 10,000 cars recorded to date.
