In-4, blue-gray morocco, smooth spine, gilt author and title, 3 cold fleurons, boards decorated with a repeated cold plate, gilt head, cover and spine preserved [Kieffer] (spine faded brown). Edition illustrated with 48 original etchings by Pierre Leconte, colored by René Euffès. Printed at 310 copies, and some of them signed by the artist, this one on Arches vellum. Enriched with two original drawings signed by Pierre Leconte (a watercolor and a watercolor ink). Beautiful binding by Kieffer : the decoration of the boards, showing a ship on an exotic coast, is a composition signed by the marine painter Gustave Alaux (1887-1965), who may also have composed the 3 vignettes that adorn the spine.
