Siliceous paste with polychrome decoration painted under
transparent colorless glaze.
Damascus, probably 1570-90.

This tile presents a painted decoration in cobalt, turquoise, green and eggplant on a white background, with a
mandorla decorated with arabesques, a tulip, carnations and flowers, bordered by a frieze of scrolls and white palmettes in reserve on a cobalt blue background.
