First incunabula edition of this Latin version of a part of Appian's Histories. 146 unnumbered ff. [numbered by hand, including a blank in fine, without signature or claims]. 41 lines per page. Text in round letters on a column. The volume begins with a table (f. 1 r°), followed by a preface by the translator Petro Candido Decembrio (1399-1477) [f. 1 v°], dedicated to Alfonso (II) of Aragon (1449-1496), future king of Naples (in 1494), and to his father, Ferdinand (I) of Aragon (1424-1494), king of Naples since 1458. From the library of the princes Lichnowsky, at the castle of Grätz, with bookplate and wet stamp of arms at the at the foot of the first leaf. A washed copy with a few pale russet stains; a few small wormholes; some handwritten marginal inscriptions, partially effaced. some marginal handwritten inscriptions, partially erased, including an added title on the first leaf.
