Rare painted silk cope of China and brocade, circa 1750-1760, the whole in dominant blue, cream and green for the Sundays of Laetare and Gaudete. Satin painted with scrolls of peonies in dominant; chaperone and orphreys with similar decoration in lampas shaped polychrome silk, blade and gold and silver and silver. Gold threaded braid added on the perimeter, buckram lining, (some accidents). L. 275 cm, H. middle 132 cm
