Small oval happiness in rosewood veneer stamped J. Manser & JME of the Transition period It opens to a locker, a drawer, flanked by two leaves. In the belt, a drawer rests on cambered A drawer rests on cambered legs joined by a shelf in rich marquetry decorated with Chinese utensils on a sycamore background. Ornamentation of chased and gilded bronzes. Small restorations and missing parts, some cracks. H. 89 L. 61 D. 41 cm Jacques Manser received master on June 25, 1766, installed at the Cours Saint-Louis in the faubourg Saint-Antoine, brother-in-law of Charles Topino. It is very likely that the marquetry was made by Charles Topino and sold to his brother-in-law. We find this work on a "bonheur-du-jour" reproduced on p. 118 fig. 54 in Sylvain Barbier Sainte Marie, Charles Topino, éd de l'Amateur, 2005
