Attributed to Francesco CURRADI (Florence, 1570 - Florence, 1661) Study of a head Black stone and highlights of red chalk and white chalk on blue paper. 21 x 17,1 cm In the upper right corner on the reverse, inscription in pen and brown ink: Cavr. Curradi. Stain in the lower left corner. Possibly preparatory to the figure of the angel in The Virgin Mary climbing the steps of the Temple (Maria Vergine sale i gradini del tempio), Florence (property of the Church). Provenance: Luigi Grassi (1858-1937), drawing teacher and art dealer, Florence, his collection stamp lower left (L.1171b).
