Etienne Grangier is a merchant-manufacturer of silk, gold and silver fabrics.
He became adviser-secretary of the King and of his finances in the generality of Lyon in 1768 then was named keeper of the Seals of the chancellery of the court of the coins of Lyon in 1775 (Prenat-Lebros, op. cit.) or in 1787 (Fonds Frécon, non consular series, T. VIII).
