Orphrey, Spain or Italy, last third of the sixteenth century, St. Andrew, St. Peter and a holy bishop are represented in architectural niches in embroidery in gold nude mainly; the flesh is embroidered silk split point and some of the contours highlighted with a gold cordonet. Braids figured in embroidery in couchure and gold guipure, (accidents, the bottom cut), 119 x 71 cm Reassembled later on a back of chasuble in velvet shaped silver lamé with cream and green decoration of bouquets and flowered cups on an ogival network, circa 1600. Lining in blue cloth.
