[Drawing]. [Brittany]. [Alfred PONROY (1822-1876), supposed author). Set of 6 pencil and watercolor drawings, showing Breton characters (four young women and two young men), unsigned and attributable to painter Alfred Ponroy according to handwritten notes on the v° of two drawings. Three drawings are dated February (1) and June (2) 1862, one of which is mentioned as done in Brest, and the subjects are located in Gourin in the Morbihan. The first one also bears a mention in Breton referring to Plougastel. Each drawing (variable size around 22x13 cm) is pasted on strong paper or cardboard, the whole mounted in an oblong in-4° album, bound in burgundy Russian leather, spine with 4 nerves with fleurons net fillets, romantic ornaments of the plates with cold roulette and gilded rocaille irons, gilded edges (one split bit, worn corners, one drawing torn and reassembled, another rubbed). The album also contains a pencil drawing of a woman lying down.
