Émile FROMENT-MEURICE (1837-1913), circa 1880 Easel frame for miniatures in cut, openwork, repoussé and soldered bronze and silver forming of interlacing, foliage and flowers, sprinkled with turquoise and garnet, and surmounted in the center by an enameled coat of arms with the coat of arms of France. The marble base forms a paperweight. Signed on the reverse Froment Meurice. H. 20 cm (excluding base) 19 x 13 cm (base) Emile Froment Meurice produced several models of paperweight easel miniature holders, including a model for Marie Caroline de Bourbon-Sicile, Duchesse d'Aumale.
