Round covered soup tureen on a display stand. The soup tureen, Paris 1788-1789, M. O.: Nicolas II Fauconnier received in 1785.
The display stand is Paris 1789-92, the goldsmith's hallmark is illegible.
The rim of the lid and pedestal are decorated with string moldings. The doucine lid is engraved with a frieze of leafy foliage and topped by a bird-shaped grip (discharged with an oak leaf). The handles are made of interlaced vine leaves. The display rests on four double balls and is topped by a laurel torus.
