Louis XV period wall lamp and base decorated with gilded reserves on a black background with Asian-inspired motifs. Ornamentation of gilded and chased bronzes with rocaille decoration. Enameled circular dial with Roman numerals for the hours and Arabic numerals for the minutes. Signed CAUSARD Hgr du ROY, SUIVT Lacour. Modified suspension Case stamped A. GOSSELIN Damage and wear. H. 91 cm (clock), 32 cm (lamp base) Edme-Jean Causard, king's clockmaker circa 1753 and Antoine Gosselin received master in 1752.
