In 1984, Diego Giacometti created the rugs La Rencontre and La Promenade des amis, transposing his poetic universe into wool. A veritable game of illusion, his rugs simulate the shadow of one of his tables on a light-colored carpet: the structure of the table forms the frame of his composition, on which the bestiary of La Promenade des amis unfolds.
