[Sixteenth century book]. [Medicine]. ALEXANDRE DE TRALLES. Alexandri Tralliani medici absolutissimi Libri duodecim. [Omnes nunc primum de graeco accuratissime conversi... Argentorati, ex offician R. Guedonis, 1549. Small in-8, [24] f., 626 (of 662) p., 18th c. havana calf, 5-ribbed spine, garnet-red morocco title-piece, ornate caissons, gilt roulette on the edges, red edges (spine faded, superf. rubbing on a bit and a corner; title doubled with a line removed, browning in Dd). First edition in Latin translated from Greek by the physician Johann Winter (Andernach 1505 - Strasbourg 1574). This copy does not contain the end (Razae de pestilentia libellus, p.627 to 662, which has been cut out of the general title), but it is complete with the works of Alexandre de Tralles.
