First edition of this work by two Jansenist priests. It is illustrated with a frontispiece and 49 copper-engraved plates, almost all signed "F. Ertinger". Provenance: F. Gendreau, 1739 (handwritten name crossed out, surmounted by a Masonic figure in medallion); Lise Hutinet, 1739 (handwritten name).
