[Stationery. 19th century]. Small blank notebook from the 19th century, containing a variety of fine colored and patterned papers. In-18 (12.5 x 8 cm.), full emerald contemporary chagrin, 5-ribbed spine, gilt title, small-iron decorated caissons, richly decorated boards with gilt lace and 6 mosaic fleurons, pink satin linings (one forming a pocket) and endpapers, gilt edges, clasps (one clasp missing).
Interesting testimony to paper production of the period, and in particular to the manufacture of colored papers. Provenance: ACV monogram mosaic on one endpaper; small dry stamp "AD" repeated.
