In-folio, [1] f., 79-77 p., fr., pl., contemporary speckled tan calf, 7-ribbed spine, red title page, ornate caissons, red edges, restorations (head cap uncovered, 3 corners dulled, lateral margins of title and front replaced, repair to margin p.15, russeting to front, some browning).
First edition of this armorial, illustrated with an allegorical frontispiece engraved by Saint-Aubin after Cochin fils, and 36 plates of coats of arms, engraved by Durand, in Dijon, also publisher of the work.
Early handwritten note in the margin of the frontispiece: "Le Baron d'Anstrude".
