One woodcut perspective view, colored, approx. 19 x 21 cm, bordered by an ornamental frame approx. 28 x 36 cm (Dymo stamp on spine, 2 worm bites in frame). Perspective view drawn or engraved by Philibert Espiard, accompanied by a cartouche identifying buildings and places in the city. Beautifully framed with the figures of the booksellers Nicolas Chesneau and Michel Sonnius. Published in the Cosmographie universelle by F. de Belleforest; paginated 296-297, with text on verso ruled in red ink. A highly decorative copy, the coloring of which seems, at least in part, modern. Slight central fold mark; remainder of miter at v°.
