- MANLEY (J.J.). *Literature of Sea and River Fishing*. London, W. Clowes, 1883 (Reprint, 2001). 8vo, [4 leaves], 160 pp., publisher’s cloth binding. Petit Catalog No. 963. This book had never been reprinted.
- WOOD (Arnold). A Bibliography of "The Complete Angler" by Izaak Walton and Charles Cotton. Being a chronologically arranged list of the various editions and reprints from the first edition MDCLIII until the year MCM. New York, 1900 (Reprint, 2002). 8vo, [3 leaves], 204 pp, [1 leaf] (errata), gray cloth. In 1653, Izaak Walton, nicknamed “The Father of Angling,” published *The Complete Angler* (the French translation of which is *Le parfait pêcheur à la ligne ou la récréation de l’homme contemplatif*). This work was a great success and went through numerous editions. In 1676, Charles Cotton expanded it with a second part. This bibliography lists, describes, and reproduces the title page of all known editions. Albert Petit’s catalog of fishing books includes several editions of *The Complete Angler*, including the extremely rare first edition, but not this bibliography, which is nowhere to be found.
- PETIT (G. Albert). *Catalog of the Fishing Library of Mr. G. Albert Petit*. Paris, 1921 (Reprint 1996). In-8, 296 pp, paperback. This collection of over 2,200 books was slated to be dispersed at auction, but a collector acquired it before the sale, and the catalog was largely destroyed. It is virtually impossible to find and constitutes the most comprehensive French bibliography on the subject. Reprint issued in a limited run.
