[Architecture]. [Bordeaux]. BAUHAIN (Édouard). - Lot 90
[Architecture]. [Bordeaux]. BAUHAIN (Édouard). Plan of the “Hôtel du Coq d’Or, rue Montesquieu” in Bordeaux (Gironde). Watercolor print. 55.5 x 65.5 cm (image size), in a frame measuring 74 x 83.5 cm. Signed in the upper right corner beneath the title: “Drawn by the undersigned architect, Paris, February 11, 1912, Bauhain.” “Ground Floor Plan, Scale 0 m, 0.02 c.p.m.” The Coq d’Or was a fashionable hotel and brasserie in early 20th-century Bordeaux. It was located at what are now Nos. 12 and 14 on Rue Montesquieu, which opens onto Place des Grands Hommes. The original tracing of this drawing is preserved at the National Archives in the collection of architects Édouard Bauhain and Raymond Barbaud.
