[Manuscript]. [Viticulture. Bourgogne]. LIVRE JOURNAL DES VI - Lot 295
[Manuscript]. [Viticulture. Bourgogne]. LIVRE JOURNAL DES VIGNERONS de Girolle [...] & des metayers. [1778-1810]. Small folio notebook, comprising approximately 78 written pages and blank pages, contemporary parchment cover, handwritten title on upper cover, remnants of laces (flaws including gaps in cover at spine, worm work at beginning of vo. then simple pitting without serious damage to text, sporadic light wetness). Important manuscript reflecting winegrowing activity on several plots around Girolles (Yonne), over a period of more than 20 years. The plots are often identified (Navry, La Ratelle, Etolle le Bas...) as are the winegrowers, who received their wages on the basis of this document (Pierre Gaulat, then his widow, Michel Destrieux, Simon Doudin...). A "métairie de Girolle, from the estate of Mad. Angely, rented to François Charlot...". A few pages detail the account opened with Charles Rougeot, cooper at Tarrot, between 1787 and 1810; a note at the end of the volume summarizes the expenses for the 1787 harvest. Attached are 9 small handwritten notes from the period.
